Course Description
Oral side effects are the number one reason cancer patients cannot complete their treatment protocols. These side effects can significantly compromise the patent’s morbidity and quality of life. This course will enable the dental professional to identify the most common treatment options related to oral side effects due to chemotherapy and head and neck radiation.
The afternoon portion will focus on the oral management of patients compromised by local and systemic cancer therapies. A thorough presentation on bisphosphonate related osteochemonecrosis will be included. Caring for the oral needs of cancer patients requires confidence, knowledge, and compassion. This course will give you all three!
